REIKI ENERGY HEALING
What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy..
How is Reiki performed?
Reiki practice consists of the practitioner places his or her hands mostly above the person to be healed with the intent for healing to occur, and then the energy begins flowing. The client keeps their clothes on, the only touching is on their head, shoulders and feet.
The reiki practitioner uses their hands to channel energy from the universe to your body so your body can heal itself.
The main distinction between Reiki and other energy healing techniques is that a practitioner can channel the Reiki energy through their hands into their own body.
Madaline does Reiki Massage in her therapy room, with candles burning and relaxing music playing. The sessions last 45 minutes with time to relax and escape the stresses and strains in your life.
What does Reiki do?
Some of the reasons why you may come for Reiki is that it can be used alongside conventional medication because it acts in a complementary way. The beneficial effects of Reiki can occur on many levels. Reiki can accelerate the healing of physical problems, balance your emotions, free you from restrictive mental attitudes, and help you to connect to your inner wisdom. It helps to relieve stress and tension and its many symptoms and because of this, it can improve the quality of relationships, at home or work.
Most people find Reiki to be a wonderfully relaxing experience and the benefits last a long time after the treatment has finished.
Note: Reiki is being used in various settings including private practice, complementary therapy centres, GP surgeries, hospitals, hospices, cancer support groups, post-operative recovery, drug rehabilitation, prisons, HIV/AIDS centres, and in the care of the elderly.
Madaline also works with Cancer patients and their family members providing Reiki Treatments for them at Cancer Support Scotland (Tak Tent).
